Helmii, the UAE’s first online, customised furniture store, has partnered with interior designer Kathryn Hawkes, founder of HOUSE of HAWKES, for their first-ever collaboration. Together they have designed and manufactured a stylish new bed with removable covers for the entire frame. Whilst this is not uncommon for sofas, this is a first for beds in the region, offering versatility over the traditional upholstered headboard.

As part of Siemens’ new structure outlined under Vision 2020+, the company announced the heads of the three Operating Companies that will lead its core businesses in the Middle East. Dietmar Siersdorfer will head ‘Gas and Power’, while Franco Atassi will lead “Smart Infrastructure’ and Uwe Troeger the ‘Digital Industries’ Operating Company. Under the new structure and with the help of its strong brand, Siemens aims to give the individual businesses more entrepreneurial freedom and a leaner company structure, accelerating growth and sharpening focus on their respective markets. With the new set-up, Siemens is eliminating the company’s divisions: Building Technologies, Energy Management, Power and Gas, Digital Factory and large parts of its Process Industries and Drives Division, to form the three new companies.

Abu Dhabi Ports, the operator and manager of commercial and community ports within the emirate of Abu Dhabi as well as Fujairah Terminals and KIZAD, announced the winners of the 3rd cycle of its internal excellence award, “MAFNOOD”.
