The Catalyst, a startup accelerator initiative between Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and the international energy company BP, is seeking more UAE-based startups eligible for its next cycle of funding, training and mentorship at GITEX from October 14-18.

UAE-based businesses with a global footprint won the top awards at this year’s edition of the Gulf Capital SME Awards.

The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) Governor H.E. Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori welcomed H.E. Kanji Fujiki, Japan’s Ambassador to the UAE and a delegation of high ranking officials from the Japanese Government and banking sector, for a seminar to learn about the support systems and regulatory measures that make up the foundations for a thriving SME sector in Japan.

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Enterprise Forum Saudi Arabia, a chapter of the MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF) Global in collaboration with Bab Rizq Jameel, the Community Jameel initiative, has announced that registration is open for its fourth annual Saudi Startup Competition. This year’s edition will be held under the slogan “Challenge Yourself” and aims to nurture entrepreneurship and stimulate entrepreneurs in the Kingdom to contribute effectively to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
