Carrefour, operated in the UAE by Majid Al Futtaim, has expanded its offering to the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) community while introducing new innovative technology to the region. Visitors to Gate Avenue at DIFC will now have access to Carrefour’s unbeatable offers at its latest store and enjoy the flexibility of shopping through the automated Click & Collect Self-Service. The new service will dispense online grocery orders to customers through a dedicated robot, providing a convenient alternative to online deliveries.

General Electric International, Inc. (NYSE: GE) has been selected as the successful bidder for the 6,500 megawatt (MW) Hsinta and Taichung combined cycle power plants initiated by Taiwan Power Company (TPC). GE will be working together with its local consortium partner, CTCI Corporation, to engineer, manufacture, and commission the combined cycle blocks which are planned to begin commercial operation in phases from 2024.

Emirates has announced it will resume passenger services to Amman, Jordan from 8 September. The resumption of flights to the Jordanian capital takes the number of destinations Emirates serves in the Gulf and Middle East to eight cities, as the airline gradually resumes operations with the safety of its customers, crew and communities as its top priority.
