    The Sharjah University City is witnessing a spectacular display of light, decorated with glittering lights that celebrate the role of science, knowledge and culture in building generations and future pioneers. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah and will continue until February 17. This year's event features four distinct locations in Sharjah University City including Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Center, Sharjah University City Campus Avenue, Sharjah Police Academy and the University City Hall.

    In celebration of World Heart Day, the Health Promotion Department at the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah has organized an awareness event at Al Resalah American International School, which is located in Al Rahmaniya in Sharjah. The Challenge calls on all Arabs to help translate to Arabic 5,000 videos and 11 million words of world-class maths and science material to be available online free to over 50 million Arab students from kindergarten to grade 12. The content is to be sourced and localised in accordance with the highest international standards and curricula.

    Software AG’s University Relations department has announced its fifth annual international CeBIT idea contest. The competition is open to students and faculty at colleges and universities around the world and invites them to submit creative proposals for a project to be showcased at CeBIT 2016, the largest IT fair worldwide. Software AG’s Digital Business Platform must be used for the project. Furthermore, entries should depict a market-oriented, real-life model scenario, which highlights the platform’s capabilities for big data, Industry 4.0, integration and business process management. The winning project will receive up to €10,000 for implementation.

  • St George’s University, Grenada, signs Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

    St George’s University (SGU), the international medical school on the Caribbean island of Grenada, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. The MOU recognizes the benefits of mutual cooperation, and both institutions will now explore potential educational collaboration in medical related studies. As part of the agreement, SGU will be listed on the Government of Fujairah’s website as a recognized education provider, meaning SGU can now accept students from the Emirate of Fujairah.

  • St. Mary’s High School to open in Ras Al Khaimah

    St. Mary’s Group of Schools held a ground breaking ceremony on Thursday, May 10, 2018 to mark the beginning of the construction of St. Mary’s High School in Ras Al Khaimah, its sixth school within the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Located in the Khalifa Bin Zayed City area of Ras Al Khaimah, the new school will offer a British curriculum from the Foundation Stage (FS) to A-level, with a capacity of nearly 1,800 students.
