Brighton College Al Ain is delighted to announce that, two years on, it has again been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge.

The highly coveted rating makes Brighton College Al Ain one of a very small number of schools in the Emirate, and the only one in Al Ain, to be judged ‘Outstanding’.

The inspection report listed six key areas of strength covering all six performance standards, each of which was graded Outstanding. Inspectors noted ‘students’ love of learning, curiosity, independence and resilience’, ‘consistently high-quality teaching and assessment across the school’, ‘a curriculum which expertly blends the College’s international vision with the UAE national vision’ and reported ‘the inspirational leadership of the Head Master and senior leadership team that empowers all staff to innovate and deliver a world class education’.

Head Master Dr. Ken Greig, said; “This is a unique school and we are all incredibly proud of what teachers, pupils and parents have achieved. At the heart of what we do is a sincere commitment to our values and to encouraging pupils to ‘Be the best you’”.

This is reinforced by inspectors’ comments on students’ personal and social development and their protection, guidance and support. They ‘consistently demonstrate the values of creativity, leadership and respect’ and ‘staff inspire students and create a harmonious and secure environment in which students thrive’. Last summer students achieved 63% A*/A at GCSE, amongst the highest results in the UAE, and inspectors confirmed that the ‘overall quality of students’ achievement is outstanding’.

Brighton College Al Ain continues to be a leader in the provision of first class education to the international community. It aims to build on the already well-established reputation for Excellence that Brighton College UK maintains.

Brighton College UK was recently named as the Most Forward-Thinking School in Britain in the 2017 Independent Schools' awards in The Week magazine. Renowned as one of the most academically successful co-educational schools in the United Kingdom. Brighton College will open its Dubai branch in September 2018.
