The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, an independent, research-driven graduate-level university focused on advanced energy and sustainable technologies, and the Japan International Collaboration Center (JICE), today announced that three UAE nationals have successfully completed a Japanese summer internship program that featured visits to integrated green developments, clean-energy projects, and cultural sites.

For the first time the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has opened its doors to train university undergraduate students. The IRENA Summer Trainee Programme offers an opportunity for these students to learn about and contribute meaningfully to the Agency’s work and the adoption of renewables on a global scale.

Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), donated AED200,000 to the National Charity Schools, in a bid to alleviate financial burdens faced by parents of students from low income households. Fahad Al-Bannai, Head of Endowment Way-outs Section at AMAF, handed over the cheque to Dr Kamal Farhat, General Manager of the National Charity Schools at the AMAF headquarters in Dubai on Last week.
