Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) Smart Book Club has launched its ‘Reading Knights Competition’ under its new initiative: Smart Reading Club, which will provide many books in Arabic and English covering variety of topics. This initiative aims to disseminate knowledge and encourage the community to enrich their general information and to not only read but critically analyze literary works as well. The Smart Reading Club upholds the university’s philosophy of lifelong learning and excellence in knowledge transfer.

D2L, a global learning technology leader, is pleased to announce that it has now deployed Brightspace—the company’s cloud-based learning management system (LMS)—at the University College of Bahrain. This marks a critical phase in the university’s evolution into a modern learning institution. Brightspace will support offline, mobile and blended learning for the university’s students and will improve student performance with advanced analytics and adaptive learning tools.

The Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Imam Malik College for Islamic Sharia and Law to promote efforts to enrich, transfer, and share knowledge and expertise in line with mutual objectives aiming at raising legal, legislative, and research performance, as well as consolidating the role of law in building a knowledge-based society. The two parties emphasized concerted efforts to establish Dubai as a leading center of legal excellence, through enhancing legal training and encouraging research to keep pace with ongoing positive developments at the legal, research, and academic levels in the UAE.

In a bid to champion a healthy lifestyle and lay the platform for budding sportsmen, Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) – which manages Al Mawakeb Schools and International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) – has participated in and organized a suite of sporting activities.

The university was recognized for its Smart Training Model (A.A.A) which reflects the institution’s remarkable success in adopting the highest quality standards and best global practices in the field of education as part of its effective cooperative strategies with renowned international institutions involved in establishing benchmarks for the education sector.
