The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) announced that Abu Dhabi’s initiatives and programs marking the 2018 UAE Innovation Month is packed with interactive activities and workshops lasting until 7th February 2018 at the Abu Dhabi Corniche, where visitors will have the chance to experience the latest innovations and creations and will have the opportunity to interact directly with the participating inventors.

The Abu Dhabi initiatives and activities marking the 2018 UAE Innovation Month contribute to creating a stimulating environment enhancing creativity and invention in all fields, all while contributing to spreading a culture of innovation and embedding it into the fabric of businesses and lifestyle.

In coordination with the Abu Dhabi governmental authorities, academic bodies, the private sector and entrepreneurs, ADEK presents initiatives and programmes that enhance creativity and talent.

The Innovator 2018 initiative and the Abu Dhabi Science Festival avail a series of interactive events and workshops, including the hydraulic key, smoke launchers, camel racing, mobile application development, the operation room and the blood laboratory. In addition to young mechanics, small robot cubes, robot innovators, laser aircraft, the future car design challenge, Mambo unmanned drones, model design, electronics, and many other interactive workshops.

Furthermore, over 100 innovators, 25 innovative projects from government and private organizations, 27 science workshops, approximately 7,000 students in school trips and 35,000 visitors are expected to attend. While in Al Ain, 600 students in school trips and 8,000 visitors are expected to attend six interactive workshops organized at three shopping malls. The lema? program is expected to attract over 16,000 students in its various interactive activities and programs across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

During the UAE Innovation Month, ADEK will organize major strategic initiatives such as Innovator 2018; the Abu Dhabi Science Festival and a week-long interactive program as part of lema? in Abu Dhabi, the Al Ain Region and the Al Dhafra Region; "Program Your Idea" competition and Google Innovation Hub in Al Ain, which will be made available for governmental bodies and community members and will contribute to creating a conducive environment to work, innovate and be distinct.

Innovator 2018 will be available for school students from 9 am to 1 pm and will be open to the general public from 4 pm to 10 pm on weekdays and 2 pm to 10 pm on weekends at the Abu Dhabi Corniche and three shopping malls at Al Ain from 1st to 7th February 2018, with free admissions for all.
