Tadweer (The Center of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) launched a unique awareness campaign “Your Waste, Your Responsibility” today at Khalifa Park involving over 1000 students from 50 government, private, foreign and Arabic schools across Abu Dhabi. This initiative was organised in partnership with Averda and Lavajet, and in collaboration with a number of entities, namely Abu Dhabi Police, Abu Dhabi City Municipality, Abu Dhabi Education Council, Zayed University, Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed Agricultural Center for Development and Rehabilitation, Abu Dhabi Autism Center, Fazaa Volunteering Program.

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in collaboration with the Family Gathering Centre, has organised a programme to support innovation, creativity and education, for a group of elderly Emirati citizens at Dubai Mall. The group was given a first-hand opportunity to experience and learn about a large number of marine creatures inhabiting the Dubai Aquarium. The move complements DEWA’s vision of becoming a sustainable, innovative world-class utility and fulfilling its commitment to implement Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities and to promote national identity.

The Crisis and Emergency Management Conference (CEMC) 2016 - Fifth Edition held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and organised by the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), concluded today at St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort - Abu Dhabi. The two day event titled ‘Innovative Approaches towards a Safe Nation’ witnessed the participation of a prominent group of local, regional and international experts in the field of emergency, crises and disaster management.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), inaugurated the 2nd RetrofitTech Conference in Dubai. The conference was attended by Dr. Matar Al Neyadi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Energy, HE Ahmed Buti Al Muhairbi, Secretary General of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Holley Chant, Executive Director of Sustainability at KEO International Consultants, Stephane Le Gentil, CEO of Etihad ESCO, and officials from the government sector and some of the biggest local and international companies. Experts in sustainability and green buildings, and representatives from energy service companies, developers, and district cooling were also present.
