The Ministry of Environment and Water has begun its program of activities developed for UAE Innovation Week, which is being celebrated under the directives of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, from November 22 to 28, 2015 at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Ministry is going to kick off UAE Innovation Week, which is considered to be the first of its kind in the region, with a workshop on ‘Agricultural innovation and Sustainable Development.’

The ‘International Innovative Platform for Islamic Economy Products (IIPIEP) 2015’ was launched today (Sunday, November 22, 2015) attracting remarkable regional and international attention to its new creative ideas. The platform, which gives efforts to strengthen the international Islamic economic system a major boost, is being organized by the International Center of Islamic Economy in partnership with DAFZA and in conjunction with UAE Innovation Week 2015 which is being held in line with H.H. President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s declaration of 2015 as the ‘Year of Innovation.’ Innovation Week is a pioneering initiative launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

The innovative Customer Experience (CX) Lab, was recreated by Dubai Smart Government Department (DSG) at its stand at Mirdif City Centre as part of its participation of UAE Innovation Week between November 22 and 28.

DEWA has launched DEWA’s Innovation Week and has collaborated with its partners, universities, entrepreneurs, and innovators water and power to organise this initiative, with the participation of international spokespeople who specialise in energy, sustainability and water innovation. This supports the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to host UAE Innovation Week from 22-28 November, and His Highness’s view that, “Innovation is not an option or a culture but a lifestyle, and governments and companies that do not innovate risk losing their competitiveness and consequently will fall behind."

H.E. Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Rand, Assistance Undersecretary of Health Centers and Clinics Sector, UAE Ministry of Health and President – Ear, Nose and Throat Division, Emirates Medical Association, has revealed that Dr. Mohammed Hoqani, Consultant – Chest Diseases Medicine sleep, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University conducted a seminar on ‘Sleep Apnea - Risk to Health and Traffic Accidents’. Held in cooperation with Metro-Med and Philips, the conference was held at the Oberoi Hotel Business Bay in Dubai.
