WAFI, a distinctive shopping and leisure destination, is set to host a world-class event organised by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® (GWR). The global authority on record-breaking achievements is inviting visitors from across the UAE and beyond to get the chance to become global record-holders on the spot!

This is the first time GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® will be showcasing a gallery of record-holders featuring 11 different categories in addition to the live record-breaking challenge stations. The gallery will to include records from Space, Human Body, Animal Kingdom and the 21st century in addition to showcasing local talents and achievements. The venue will be transformed into a record-breaking entertainment platform for all ages.

Taking place between Friday 13 September and Saturday 23 November, the event will run for 10 consecutive weeks. Katherine Revett, Head of Central Marketing at WAFI said: “Everybody can be a record-holder during this end-of-year season and have their achievement etched into history. We invite everyone to train throughout the week, and then head over to the exhibition’s interactive challenge area between 3pm and 9pm during weekends, where an Official Adjudicators from GWR will be present on site to verify the visitors attempts.”


Run by ‘Plan b Group’, the company that is executing the event, shoppers will have the chance to practice during the week in preparation for the record-breaking attempts happening at the weekends, Fridays and Saturdays, with the chance to become OFFICIALLY AMAZING®.

GWR has revealed a few of the weekly-changing records that will be taking place at the challenge stations every week which include:  buzz wire records, Batak/target wall records, gaming records, bicycle kicks records, robotic records, and football records, plus many more.
