To cherish the experience of living in a multi- cultural society, Ryan International School, Masdar City initiates ‘Run for Tolerance’ on Saturday, November 16, 2019 beginning from Ryan International School in Masdar City extending within the city of Masdar and ending at My City Centre in Masdar. Coinciding with the International Day of Tolerance, the event supports the National agenda of the Year – Year of Tolerance in association with Masdar City and My City Centre.
CEO, Ryan Group of Schools, Ryan Pinto says,” We support the vision of the Founding Father of the Nation, His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan to promote the values of respect and tolerance and to cherish the experience of living in a multicultural society. Ryan Group of Schools has been hosting Ryan Minithon events in India for over 19 years. We organize many of the events through October to commemorate Gandhiji’s birth anniversary as the Father of the Indian nation who is also as a symbol of tolerance. We will host another event in Sharjah before year-end and look forward to organizing this program on a regular basis in the UAE.”
Entry is open to all categories. The minithon has a track of 1.2 kms for people of determination, 2.5 kms for children under 13 years and a 5.1 km for adults. The races will begin at 6:30 am and conclude by 10 am when participants will be awarded. Twenty four winners in various categories will be awarded with the Championship Trophies, Medals and Certificates. All participants will receive goodie bags and participation certificates.
Participants may register online at http://tiny.cc/ryanmasdar. So far, over 1,000 participants have registered in all categories. They include a contingent of over 30 schools and over 700 children from across Abu Dhabi. Over 300 members have registered from different corporate firms around Abu Dhabi. All members of the public are invited to attend and cheer in a show of support for the event and its cause.
