In line with its focus on enhancing sustainability and promoting Environmental, Social and Governance best practices among listed companies and other stakeholders, Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has successfully contributed to the improvement of corporate governance practices in the United Arab Emirates through its partnership with the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Middle East’s sustainability pioneer, Bee’ah. The MoU comes as part of the concerted efforts to enhance cooperation and exchange knowledge and experiences in terms of the environmental activities and social responsibility initiatives.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), represented by HE Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Public Health Policy and Licenses, received a delegation from AstraZeneca, headed by Mr. Leon Wang, the Executive Vice-President, International, to discuss means of enhancing innovation in the pharmaceutical sector and fostering cooperation to develop treatment of chronic diseases, such as asthma, diabetes and heart diseases.

“On this day, we reaffirm our commitment to humanity, and the goals and visions of Sharjah which are in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness, Chairperson of The Big Heart Foundation, and UNHCR Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children.

H.E Mohamed Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, Chairman, RAK Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the chamber’s strategy focuses on communication with the promising countries to promote RAK economy and establish strategic relations among the business communities in different countries, showcase the potential investment opportunities in the emirate through the different available channels.
