The nursing profession is considered as one of the most important and strategic careers in the healthcare system. It is based on special experiences and exclusive skills based on the modern principles of general health and behavioral science, in addition to comprehensive care of patients in cooperation with other medical teams.

The Ministry of Environment and Water (MOEW) today launched the National Blue Carbon Project report, marking the first national quantification of the UAE’s Blue Carbon* stocks, which will help guide decision-making in coastal ecosystem preservation and climate change mitigation. The Project was a collaborative initiative managed and facilitated by a partnership between MOEW and the Abu Dhabi Global Environmental Data Initiative (AGEDI), and implemented in collaboration with the Environment Agency-Abu Dhabi (EAD) alongside the local authorities of the other emirates. 

The Ministry of Health has cancelled the six-month period required for heath entities to conduct credentialing for licenses of doctors and people working in the UAE health sector. Physicians and technicians can now transfer their licenses as soon as their credentials are issued.  

The Ministry of Environment and Water recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Education at the former’s headquarters in Dubai as part of the implementation of the National Environmental Education and Awareness Strategy. The Strategy aims to strengthen the community’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection as well as educate the youth so they can lead the UAE towards a sustainable future. The initiative is in accordance with the Ministry of Environment and Water’s mission of disseminating and promoting environmental awareness in the state.

The Ministry of Health’s - Health Centers and Clinics Department  has launched today (Saturday, October 10, 2015) an interactive training program called ‘Innovation Trip’ to improve the work performance of the department’s employees and instill in them a culture of creativity. Covering a series of educational tours, ‘Innovation Trip’ is under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Hussein Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Health Centers and Clinics, and is being implemented in cooperation with Lundbeck, a Danish international pharmaceutical company.
