Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) hosted a high-profile delegation from Bahrain headed by its Minister of Education, H.E. Dr. Majid Bin Ali Al-Nuaimi. The group was received by Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMSU and Chairman of the Governing Board of the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). The delegates visited the university to explore opportunities of cooperation as well as initiate mutually beneficial projects to enhance the level of education in the GCC and the Middle East in line with international standards.

The Ministry of Environment of Water has announced that the educational campaign for travelers which was launched earlier this week and running until August 13, 2015 at the Abu Dhabi International Airport is drawing strong participation from the audience members. The campaign was organized in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Customs and Abu Dhabi Airports, as well as the International Fund for Animal Welfare, the program tackles the issue of illegal elephant ivory trade.

In a major leap towards ‘smart’ transformation, Dubai Courts has announced that its first smart application, comprising a collection of 110 services, is now available directly to its individual and corporate customers involved in judicial cases. The move will result in a significant rise in the use of legal and judicial smart services in line with the vision and directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to increase the usage of smart services to 80 per cent by 2018 and reduce the number of walking-in customers.
