Based on a notification from the Emergency Centre for Transboundary Animal Diseases of the outbreak of a highly contagious strain of bird flu (H5N8) in Kuwait, the UAE Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE), today announced that it has taken the following precautionary measures:

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) has issued the Ministerial Resolution No. 21 of 2019 on the use of recycled aggregates from construction and demolition waste for road construction and other infrastructure projects carried out by the public and private sectors in the UAE. MOCCAE developed the document in coordination with the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and municipal authorities.

The Government of Umm Al Qaiwain has signed a cooperation agreement with Emirates Auction, the leading company in the field of management and organization of public and online auctions in the Middle East. The cooperation agreement states that the company is responsible for organizing exclusive auctions on assets owned by all the departments that fall under the Emirate’s Government.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA), the independent regulator of financial services conducted in or from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), announced the suspension of the licence of Morgan Gatsby Limited (MGL) for a period of 12 months, consistent with its aim to protect direct and indirect users of the financial services industry in the DIFC.
