On Emirati Children’s Day, Khawla Al Serkal, Director General of Sharjah Ladies Club, said: "The UAE has made remarkable achievements in the field of child care, health, safety, education and wellbeing. These achievements reflect a cohesive national strategy, to elevate the status of children and prepare them for the future, enabling them to contribute to the nation’s development."

Under the sponsorship and presence of His Excellency Dr Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Dubai Customs, represented by the Service Innovation Department, joined the Innovation Talks organized by the Ministry.

His Excellency Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF), said: “On Emirati Children’s Day, we renew our commitment to the UAE’s promising new generation and pledge to continue to support the tireless efforts of the wise UAE leadership in empowering children as part of its drive to enhance social and family cohesion.”

The Department of Government Relations (DGR) – Sharjah, took a high-level delegation to Barcelona, Spain, from March 11-14, 2019, to explore new areas of bilateral interest with their Spanish counterparts. The delegation discussed best practices and latest methodologies Sharjah has adopted in the sectors of education, socioeconomic development and healthcare, and discussed ways to strengthen future cooperation with Spain in these areas.

Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Executive Chairman of Sharjah’s Department of Government Relations (DGR), and Chairman of the Higher Committee of Digital Transformation of Sharjah, stressed the importance of developing a comprehensive digital transformation strategy in Sharjah, to better serve citizenry and businesses, and march towards achieving socioeconomic development.
