The Ministry of Health and Prevention issued directives to expand and maintain the Al Qarain Health Center located in the emirate of Sharjah, and perform comprehensive maintenance to the current building of the centre, as well as providing all of the center’s departments with modern medical equipment.

NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA) and the ‘Women in Sustainability, Environment and Renewable Energy’ (WiSER) platform – a Masdar-led initiative dedicated to inspiring women and girls to play an active role in addressing global sustainability challenges – have announced a strategic partnership for the year 2019.

HE Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy, stated that the ties between both the UAE and Kosovo are historically strong, which extend back to the time of the founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He remarked these ties grew into an integrated economic partnership, which resulted in ground-breaking agreements on the avoidance of double taxation, and the protection and promotion of investment and civil aviation, among others. 

Dubai Land Department (DLD) announces that its smart platform, Dubai REST, is nominated for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) awards 2019, where voting will continue till 10 February.

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of the UAE, held its first meeting for 2019 following its restructuring, on 14th January 2019, at the Central Bank Head Office – Abu Dhabi, under the chairmanship of H.E. Hareb Masood Al Darmaki, the Chairman of the Board. The meeting was attended by H.E. Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Deputy Chairman of the Board and H.E. Mubarak Rashed Al Mansoori, the Governor, and Board members; Their Excellencies Younis Haji Al Khoori, Khaled Mohammed Salem Balama, Khalid Ahmad Al Tayer and Ali Mohammed Al Madawi Al Remeithi, as well as by Their Excellencies Mohamad Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Governor, Saif Hadef Al Shamsi, Assistant Governor and a group of senior Central Bank staff.
