Streamlining its efforts towards commissioning projects for the betterment of man-made calamities struck children in war-torn regions; Palestine Children’s Relief Fund extended its support to help Rawan this March.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia), has announced that the Foundation is now accepting applications for the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Water Award. The million-dollar Award was launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The Award is presented by Suqia, under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, to find sustainable solutions for water scarcity, by using solar energy to purify and desalinate water. The announcement coincides with World Water Day, which takes place on 22 March each year.

The Emirates Red Crescent has signed an agreement with Emirates Auction to launch a series of charity auctions, in line with their joint efforts to reinforce excellence in humanitarian and development work. The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Mohammed Ateeq Al Falahi, General Secretary of Emirates Red Crescent; and H.E. Abdullah Matar Al Mannaei, Managing Director of Emirates Auction. Both parties emphasised on their commitment to consolidate strategic partnership and develop ambitious projects that support the objectives of UAE Vision 2021, which is geared towards establishing the UAE as an exceptional model for developmental and humanitarian initiatives.

On Tuesday 8th March, International Women’s Day, over 100 guests from the PR industry in Dubai attended the launch of a brand new networking organisation – Women in PR MENA. The details were discussed in a press conference at the Armani hotel in Dubai. The Award is presented by The UAE Water Aid Foundation, under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, to find sustainable solutions to the issue of water scarcity, using solar energy to purify and desalinate water.
