Committed to offering hope and a light of humanity to war-struck children in the region; the PCRF, a non-political, non-profit, humanitarian relief organization, identified Mahmoud Al-Najjar, an 18 year old boy from Hebron, Palestine, to extend their help in treating him with specialized surgeries.

The availability of water in Arab countries is steadily dwindling due to the rapid increase in population. There is a real need to sign new international agreements on the conservation of our water supply, conduct research, and find viable solutions to this issue. The UAE has paid close attention to this growing concern, and has worked diligently to take all the necessary steps to rationalise our water usage for both irrigation and drinking purposes.

The World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) concluded its 2nd Board of Directors meeting this year held recently in Tangier, Morocco. The session was headed by Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman of the World FZO, in the presence of a number of senior officials and members. Among the highlights was the announcement of the inclusion of 44 new free zones to the ranks of the World FZO amidst growing acclaim for the organization’s pivotal role in supporting the growth of free zones around the world and supplying them with the necessary facilities to actively contribute to economic and social development.

In a humanitarian gesture to bring relieving smiles to sick and wounded children in war-struck regions; The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) takes  up regular medical camps where volunteering doctors fly from all over the world to treat children and train local medical staff..

Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan has donated his prize of AED 1 million under ‘Al Hilal Bank Savings Account’ promotion to the Sultan Bin Khalifa Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing and supporting the efforts and contributions of individuals and institutions towards improving the quality of life of patients with Thalassemia and other blood diseases. This noble humanitarian gesture was made to honor the foundation’s contributions towards creating a positive impact on society. The official announcement was made during a raffle draw held recently at Al Hilal Bank headquarters in the presence of senior bank officials and a representative of the Department of Economic Development.
