Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan has donated his prize of AED 1 million under ‘Al Hilal Bank Savings Account’ promotion to the Sultan Bin Khalifa Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to recognizing and supporting the efforts and contributions of individuals and institutions towards improving the quality of life of patients with Thalassemia and other blood diseases. This noble humanitarian gesture was made to honor the foundation’s contributions towards creating a positive impact on society. The official announcement was made during a raffle draw held recently at Al Hilal Bank headquarters in the presence of senior bank officials and a representative of the Department of Economic Development.

UNESCO has named Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Chancellor of Hamdan Bin Mohammed Smart University (HBMSU) and Chairman of the UNESCO Institute of Information Technologies in Education (IITE) Governing Board, as a Member of the Expert Committee of Digital Strategies for Higher Education in the Arab World. REACT, an international not-for-profit cooperative association fighting the trade in counterfeit goods, has named the Arabian Anti-Piracy Alliance (AAA) as its strategic partner in the GCC in the efforts to combat piracy and the proliferation of counterfeit products. The AAA was selected by REACT for its contributions and extreme dedication in curbing piracy in the Middle East region--implementing a comprehensive anti-piracy program that includes strategic activities like public awareness campaigns, aggressive lobbying and legal action against intellectual property rights violators.
