Using 3D printing technology, students at the American University of Sharjah designed and produced a prototype for a vessel that can be used to simulate coral in order to offer an attractive site for coral larvae to settle. Resettlement and along the coastlines of the UAE is meant to support existing coral and combat the problem of coral that continue to perish due to environmental factors.

In partnership with MIT, ADMAF will organize a talk with the team behind the project on November 18 at 7pm, highlighting the role of ADMAF’s STEAM programme and discussing the artwork’s design and 3D production, concept and creative process, and the manufacturing and printing.

Guided tours of Abu Dhabi Art for university students will be carried out on November 18 and 20 at 11am, and school-student tours will take place on November 21 at 11am. Students will also view Emirati writer and film director Nujoom Alghanem’s video installation Passage, with a special focus on clips and songs related to the film.
