DUBAI: Brand Dubai, a subsidiary of the Government of Dubai Media Office, on Friday announced a cooperation agreement with the Cultural Office of Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the ‘Cultural Partner’ on Brand Dubai’s first edition of the Dubai Canvas Festival kicking off at The Beach, Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) from 1 to 7 March 2015.

The Cultural Office of Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum was established in 2013 to serve as the official platform to develop and activate substantial art movements as milestones within the region. The Cultural Office combines the best art practices and concepts from around the world and tailors it to respect and preserve our legacy and culture in the Arab world for International recognition.

 

Commenting on the cooperation agreement, Mona Bin Kalli, Director of The Cultural Office of Sheikha Manal said: “The Cultural Office builds upon Her Highness Sheikha Manal Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s steadfast commitment to fostering young artists by providing ample opportunities to polish their skills and artistic talents. Our partnership with Brand Dubai reflects Her Highness’s vision to highlight the rise of young and emerging Emirati artists and connect them with world-class talents and experience the latest in artistic schools and trends, in addition to acquiring new skills to unleash their creative energy and potential.”

 

Through this partnership, The Cultural Office will invite a number of young artists from the UAE to learn about 3D art and meet the world’s pioneers in this modern art school.

Moreover, The Cultural Office will provide a dedicated area for children to learn about 3D art. The global event attracts world’s renowned artists and is expected to receive massive attendance.
