Emirates Airline Festival of Literature (1-9 March 2019) will celebrate women who have stood at the crossroads of history, and changed the world with their fearlessness, ambition and incredible drive to succeed, in fields ranging from politics to science to business.

Art Dubai and The Cultural Office of Her Highness Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced today the artist and theme for the seventh edition of the Sheikha Manal Little Artists Program. American artist Sally Curcio will be the lead artist for the upcoming iteration, themed Creating New Worlds, and taking place at Art Dubai from March 20-23, 2019.

From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight. Featured characters include Dumbo, a sweet newborn elephant with oversized ears; Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell), a former circus star charged with caring for an elephant who can fly; Max Medici (Danny DeVito), the owner of a struggling circus who hopes Dumbo will bring in the crowds; V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), an entrepreneur who sets his sights on Medici’s circus and its flying elephant; and Colette Marchant (Eva Green), an accomplished aerialist who’s cast to fly alongside Dumbo in a state-of-the-art amusement park called Dreamland.

Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah will come alive this Friday, 25 January, with an electrifying season opener by Hani Shaker, Egyptian pop legend and Lebanese great, Wael Jassar. Both artists have a huge fan following in the region, and are expected to delight with their renditions of popular Arabic hits.
