Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, has made a strong call for a renewed global commitment urging greater cooperation among world leaders, decision makers, humanitarian organisations and civil society to protect children from being pushed into the world of forced labour, especially at a very young age when they are most vulnerable to exploitation.

Ibn Battuta Mall is bringing three internationally-acclaimed kids’ shows – Peter Pan, Bugs Bunny and his Magical Carrots and The Desert Adventures of Daffy Duck – to the Middle East for the first time as part of an exciting line-up of live entertainment for Eid Al Fitr and Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2018.

Dragon Mart 2 will transform into a children’s wonderland this Eid Al Fitr with live performances of the much loved animated television series, My Little Pony, visits from Modesh, a Toy Market and more.

As part of its ‘Ara’ initiative, launched to promote awareness about the issues of blind and visually impaired children, the Sharjah-based non-profit, Kalimat Foundation for Children’s Empowerment (KF), has provided 840 copies of braille, audio and large-print books to support Dar Al Kutub libraries in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain as well as to all Sharjah Public Libraries branches.
