Dusit International, one of Thailand’s foremost hotel and property development companies, will shed light on its regional and international expansion plans at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 22 to 25 April 2018.

Kicking off with the latest news, Dusit recently introduced ASAI Hotels, a distinctive new brand designed to link curious, millennial-minded travellers with authentic local experiences in vibrant cities and resort destinations worldwide. Set to officially launch in Q1 2019 with its first hotel in Bangkok’s renowned Chatuchak Market, ASAI Hotels embraces a sustainable, community-focused concept, with each property designed to reflect the culture and heritage of its location through collaborations with local artisans.

Alongside ASAI Chatuchak, five more properties are already confirmed in the pipeline. This includes three ASAI Hotels in Cebu, Philippines, one hotel in Yangon, Myanmar, and a second hotel in Bangkok.

With 27 properties currently in operation across their existing four brands in eight countries, Dusit is also preparing for significant growth with over 50 confirmed projects in the pipeline in key destinations including China, Indonesia, Oman, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, and the UAE.

Following the company’s strong presence in the UAE with the esteemed Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, Dusit Thani Dubai and dusitD2 Kenz hotels, Dusit International is set to open dusitD2 City Centre Bahrain in Q4 2018, marking a first for the group in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The contemporary leisure and business hotel with 195 keys will be conveniently located near Bahrain International Airport and other major flagship developments concentrated along the King Faisal and Sheikh bin Salman Highways.

Internationally, three key properties are set to open over the next 12 months including Dusit Thani Laguna Singapore (Q4), the company’s first hotel in the country, located within the renowned Laguna National Golf and Country Club; dusitD2 Yarkay Thimphu Bhutan (Q4), which, with 83 guest rooms and suites, will be the country’s largest hotel; and Dusit Princess Moonrise Beach Resort Phu Quoc, Vietnam (Q2).

Meanwhile, in Thailand, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket marked its 30th anniversary by unveiling a major renovation of the resort, which began in June 2017. This included the refurbishment of 135 of its guest rooms and suites, the upgrade of two of its signature restaurants, and the revamp of its main free-form swimming pool in the heart of its beachfront gardens.

In Bangkok, the group’s iconic flagship hotel, Dusit Thani Bangkok, has extended its closing date to 05 January 2019 so Dusit and its partners can add even greater value to the new version of the hotel, which will open as part of a billion-dollar landmark mixed-use project in partnership with Central Pattana PLC.

For more details on the group’s expansion plans, key Dusit International representatives will be available at stand HC1030 from 22 to 25 April 2018.
