The Maldives warmly welcomes the 1 Millionth Visitor of 2018. At a media event held at Velana International Airport this morning, the 1 Millionth Visitor Mr. Koralp Guner, arrived on Turkish Airlines Flight Number TK730 with his wife for their honeymoon was welcomed by Officials of Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), together with the Ministry of Tourism and representatives of the Maldives Tourism industry.

According to the latest data released by the Turkish Consulate General Cultural and Information office for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, some 90,590 Kuwaiti travelers landed in Turkey’s many international airports, from the period starting January 1st to May 30th 2018.

Latest figures from the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives show that the destination saw a 10.7% increase in the number of travellers from the Middle East who visited in the first six months of 2018 when compared with the same period in 2017.
