The United Arab Emirates University has admitted 1,120 new students to the second semester, including 55 international students, 567 citizens, in addition to 351 national service students, 139 students in the master’s program and 8 students in the doctoral program. Emsat exams will be carried out at the university for all students for the first time in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, instead of the skills assessment tests that were previously conducted.

The Arab Organization for Education, Culture and Science (ALECSO) and Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance announce the results of the 25th session of Hamdan – ALECSO Award for Distinguished Educational Research for the year 2022. The award attracted participations of 13 Arab countries where there were four winning research papers out of a total of 72 participants at the level of the Arab world.

The National Water and Energy Center at the United Arab Emirates University, in cooperation with the Fujairah Research Center and the Fujairah Environment Authority, conducted water resources- related studies in the Emirate of Fujairah. IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants), the association of accountants and financial professionals in business, launched its 2023 Student Case Competition, which provides an opportunity for students to interpret, analyze, evaluate, synthesize, and communicate a solution to a management accounting problem.

The Board of Trustees of  Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Distinguished Academic Performance approved the results of the competitions of the 25th Cycle of its local awards during its meeting held at Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Center for Giftedness and Creativity, chaired by His Excellency Humaid Mohammed Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Jamal Al Muhairi, Vice-Chairman of the Board, and His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary General of the Foundation, and each of the members of the Board, His Excellency Issa Al Hai Al Maidoor, His Excellency Abdullah Saeed Balyouha, and His Excellency Suleiman Abdul Khaleq Al Ansari.

California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and Technology Innovation Institute (TII) have today announced a global strategic partnership to collaborate on key research priorities. The three-year, multi-million-dollar partnership includes a comprehensive exchange of researchers enabling the partners to conduct interdisciplinary research in the areas of autonomous systems, quantum algorithms, low precision AI, biotechnology, and propulsion systems. The partnership will also focus on sustainable technologies to contribute to the reduction of environmental risks.
