At the Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100, HP (NYSE: HPQ) announced a new commitment to reach 100,000 learners across Africa over the next three years through the HP Foundation’s HP LIFE program, and kicked off the commitment by opening a new tech-enabled HP LIFE Center in South Africa.   HP’s pledge supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 and furthers the company’s goals to enable better learning outcomes for 100 million people by 2025 and to enroll a million HP LIFE users between 2016 and 2025, as outlined in the HP 2017 Sustainable Impact Report.

The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Dubai, an international leader in healthcare education, and Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Dubai Healthcare City Authority’s academic arm, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that highlights their joint efforts to support healthcare professionals through high-quality education, continuing professional development, research and innovation.

The University of Balamand Dubai (UOBD), a wholly owned subsidiary of Dubai Investments PJSC and the first university in Dubai Investments Park, yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Emirates District Cooling (Emicool) which will provide student scholarships in the fields of civil engineering and business studies as of academic year 2019-2020.

Emirates Aviation University (EAU) has been accredited from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) as a Maintenance Training Organisation. This official certification provides the university with significant recognition on the national and international level as the first educational institution in the UAE to have its Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Programme approved by EASA, in addition to the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority.

Middlesex University Dubai helps students excel in their higher education journey through its MA People Management and Development and MBA Programmes. Students who enrol to one of the courses for the January 2019 intake before the 15 December 2018 are eligible to receive a 20 % Grant. This Grant, however, cannot be used in conjunction with the Early Enrolment Grant or any other Postgraduate Grants.

The University of Birmingham Dubai plans to add new study programmes for students joining in September 2019.

As the first global top 100 and UK Russell Group university to establish a campus in Dubai, Birmingham already offers programmes including Business, Economics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and teacher training degrees.

The Emirates Institute for Banking and Financial Studies (EIBFS) has announced that the registrations are now open for its specialised banking and finance focused training programs and courses for the academic year 2018-2019. These programs and courses have been designed in line with the demands of the banking and the finance sector in the UAE.
