Dubai Festival City Mall, part of Al-Futtaim Malls, is preparing to celebrate the UAE’s 50th National Day with a host of activities which are set to delight residents and visitors alike. The celebrations will kick off on November 26 with in-mall entertainment running until December 2, featuring a marching drummers’ parade, UAE sway-pole acts, children’s activities and more.

Visitors can also immerse themselves in the UAE’s past traditions and witness Emirati Al Yolah performances to be held across the mall, in addition to the traditional Al-Razfa combining poetry and dance. Mallgoers can also marvel at the UAE's national bird and symbol of strength and heritage as they interact with a falcon and take part in a 50th Year celebration flash mob. Little ones will enjoy the day out with themed arts and crafts, as well as balloon giveaways.

Dubai Festival City Mall’s vibrant Festival Bay will come alive, delighting crowds in celebration of the historic occasion with a performance by Emirati singer and actor Rashed Al Nuaimi on December 2 at 7.55pm. The beloved celebrity will sing the UAE national anthem Ishy Biladi (long live my country), before the skies light up with mesmerising fireworks at 8pm and again at 10pm, followed by a themed National Day fountain and laser spectacle.

Commenting on the celebrations, Genevieve Colaco, Regional General Manager, Marketing & Customer Experience, Al-Futtaim Malls, said: “We’ve always been the place to be for visitors over National Day to soak up the best of UAE National pride, join in the festivities and celebrate together at our world-class destination. This year is truly a milestone and we’ve raised the bar when it comes to elevating the experience for those who will be joining us.; we can’t wait for them to see what we have in store. We cannot but admire the nation’s achievements for the past 50 years and look forward to more success at Dubai Festival City Mall which has solidified itself as an iconic destination in the Emirate.”

The mall is also set to run a cashback promotion for the UAE’s 50th National Day, where visitors can save more with 50% cashback on a minimum spend of AED 1000 from November 26 until December 2. Shoppers will be entered into a draw and stand a chance to win exciting prizes.

The ever-popular Ripe by The Bay, which takes place daily from 4pm-10pm, will continue to spoil visitors with alfresco dining, shopping, live-entertainment, and fun-filled family activities in a special National Day edition. From alfresco dining and entertainment to homegrown brands and good eats, even more dining and shopping adventures await.
