The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has launched the 5th cycle of its Mentorship Programme, one of the council's trailblazing initiatives designed to strengthen Dubai’s reputation as a preferred destination for talented entrepreneurs and an incubator of major economic projects.

Registration for the mentorship program has been open since August 1 and will continue until September 20 on the council's website. The Steering Committee will then begin the screening process to select and pair mentees with experts and mentors from partner organizations, bodies, and institutions for a six-month training program.

Over the course of the last four cycles, the DBWC Mentorship Programme has successfully trained and qualified more than 150 businesswomen and female entrepreneurs to facilitate their journey into the business world.  Participants in the programme have gained valuable skills and experiences that have enhanced their professional and personal lives.

Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council; stressed that the programme will play a vital role in promoting the capabilities and skills of female entrepreneurs and will undoubtedly build on the outstanding successes achieved by the previous cycles, which remarkably developed the skills of businesswomen and helped them adapt to changes that took place in the global business market.”

"We are launching the 5th edition of the mentorship programme as part of our ongoing efforts to upgrade the competencies of the council’s members, refine their skills, and provide the best quality, practical, and professional training that promotes their competitive edge in the business world," Al Gurg said.

"The council is very keen to stimulate the creative thinking of its members and spares no effort to support and transform their ideas into successful projects that fuel Dubai’s economic excellence and bolster the emirate’s position as a global and regional capital for entrepreneurs and innovators in all sectors," Al Gurg added.

She urged businesswomen and female entrepreneurs to enroll in the training programs, which have grown to become one of the most effective professional development programs thanks to its comprehensiveness, diversity, and excellence, adding: "The council is committed to constantly innovating initiatives and programs that focus on empowering women in the workplace."

A customized training plan will be set up according to the professional needs and requirements of each mentee. This includes personalized one-on-one mentoring to help improve the skills of each participant," Halabi added.
