Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Resort has announced a full schedule of Italian adventures for families and their little ones this summer with the launch of its annual IT Kids Club and Italian-inspired experiences. Children and teenagers alike can take part in a range of inimitable and Italian-inspired experiences including mastering the art of making a perfect pizza and miniature Piaggo Vespa rides. Whilst youngsters are embarking on an Italian adventure, adults can watch live football World Cup 2018 matches at the pop-up Chalet Stadium or simply enjoy Rome Cavalieri’s luxurious facilities including the award-winning Grand Spa Club and dining at La Pergola restaurant, the first and only three-Michelin starred restaurant in Rome.

Flavors for the Whole Family

On Sundays, the whole family is invited to enjoy brunch at L'Uliveto where children can partake in an array of activities whilst parents enjoy delicious dishes from around the world. Families can also opt to dine poolside as they bask in the summer sunshine.

Also, Middle Eastern families can enjoy flavors that remind them of home without leaving the Rome Cavalieri! Chefs Ymout Abdul Kader and Amed Elsaady Mohamed Abouelwaffa will be flying in from Kuwait this summer to serve up familiar flavors such as hummus, fattoush, falafel, shish kebab and the much loved, Um Ali.

IT Kids Club – No Adults Allowed

IT Chefs

Mini aspiring chefs can master the art of perfecting that perfect pizza or pasta dish, followed by a tempting tiramisu or millefoglie for dessert, under the expert guidance of Rome Cavalieri’s culinary masters. There will also be a dedicated Nutella corner in the IT Kids Club showcasing the chocolate-hazelnut treat in the form of an array of treats, including crepes, waffles, and other gourmet snacks.

Get Creative

Youngsters can embrace their creativity with an exciting assortment of activities including Italian sculpture, painting, fashion, origami, puppet making and fabric painting.

Tai Chi & Yoga Classes

Children can find their balance between mind and body by taking part in Tai Chi and yoga classes while surrounded by greenery in a tranquil environment. A great use of time and it helps improve the posture!

A Touch of Magic

Aspiring young magicians can learn how to do their favorite tricks under the patronage of a true magician. After learning card tricks and how to make anything disappear, children will receive a “Little Wizard” diploma for their hard work.

Experience Life in the Fast Lane

Little auto enthusiasts can take a miniature battery-operated Vespa for a spin around the IT Kids Club, with a miniature reproduction created by Peg-Pérego in collaboration with Piaggo. Alternatively, those with a need for speed can discover the thrill of driving a classic Italian Ferrari, via simulator.

Train like a Gladiator

The whole family can embrace Roman culture as they train to become gladiators, with ancient combats taught by Rome’s Gladiatorial School. Everyone will dress up in a full gladiator kit donning a tunic, Roman sandals, protective gloves and a wooden sword. Upon passing the course, youngsters will receive a medal for “Tiro” or “first level gladiator”.

While the Kids Are Away, the Adults Can Play

Whilst children are kept fully entertained in the IT Kids Club, adults can enjoy Rome Cavalieri’s impressive facilities including a luxurious Grand Spa Club, a fully equipped fitness centre, three beautiful outdoor swimming pools, an indoor swimming pool with cascading waterfall, the two Davis Cup standard tennis courts and an 800-metre jogging circuit, all found within fifteen acres of private Mediterranean parkland. Guests can dine in style at Rome Cavalieri's three Michelin starred restaurant La Pergola or enjoy a taste of Italy at L'Uliveto with an evening aperitif at the Tiepolo Lounge and Terrace.

Throughout July and August, Rome Cavalieri's young guests are also invited to enjoy breakfast at the IT Kids Club if parents fancy some time away from the kids. For football enthusiasts, Rome Cavalieri is home to a pop-up Chalet Stadium to catch the action live over drinks and dishes inspired by the sport. For those looking to explore the Eternal City, there is a free shuttle bus service, which runs hourly between the hotel and Piazza Barberini, so that all the family can enjoy day trips to discover Rome's incredible history and culture.

Rome Cavalieri's luxurious accommodation is perfectly suited for families, featuring interconnecting rooms or suites, combined with spacious lounge areas and terraces offering spectacular views over Rome, as well as miniature bathrobes and clothes hangers for children.
