Aspiring to support children around the world, RIF Trust, part of the Latitude Group, an international leading residency and citizenship by investment advisory partnered with Smile Train to launch their “Save Their Smiles” initiative. Through this positive initiative, RIF Trust will raise awareness and funds to support lifechanging cleft treatment for children with clefts. The company will further supplement each of their client’s donations to treat more children in need.

Founded in 1999, Smile Train has supported more than 1.5 million cleft surgeries for people of all ages. This notable NGO embraces a sustainable “teach a man to fish” model, which educates and enables local medical professionals to provide safe, high-quality cleft care treatment for children with clefts. Smile Train has remarkably empowered more than 2,100 trained medical professionals and partners with over 1,100 partner hospitals globally.

Smile Train has sponsored free cleft treatment in more than 90 countries providing comprehensive support to children pre and post-surgery through nutrition programmes, orthodontic care, speech therapy, and social and emotional support.

Mimoun Assraoui, Chief Executive Officer of RIF Trust and Vice Chairman of the Latitude Group, stated, “we are proud to be part of this incredible humanitarian cause. It is heart-breaking to know that globally 540 babies are born every day with a cleft. While our collaboration focuses on supporting children in the Middle East and North Africa, we look forward through this partnership to encourage even more companies in the private sector to support this cause.”

Afaf Meky, Manager Development UAE at Smile Train, commented, “it’s an honour to partner with RIF Trust to raise awareness for children with clefts across the Middle East and beyond. We have always championed empowering local medical professionals to offer surgical services and comprehensive cleft care to children in their own communities. This charitable initiative will certainly help pave the way for more collaborations and ensure that more children with a cleft receive the treatment the need to live a full and healthy life.”

Recently named by Uglobal magazine as one of the top 25 investment migration advisories globally, RIF Trust operates 14 offices in different countries including Anguilla, Brazil, Canada, China, Cyprus, Germany, Lebanon, Malta, Montenegro, Portugal, South Korea, UAE, United Kingdom and Vietnam. The company employs over 80 industry professionals globally offering local expertise with a global reach, and today, it is an authorised government agent for more than 20 Residency and Citizenship by Investment (RCBI) programmes.
