With the picturesque Dubai skyline – from the Dubai Eye to the Marina towers - in the backdrop of Berluti’s Spring/Summer 2023 press day, the new collection is a celebration of sunny days by the most Parisian of Maisons with Italian roots. The brand organized a two-day event featuring an exclusive preview of its SS23 collection, a cocktail party celebration, and a curated experience to discover its recent BWT Alpine parnership.

Taking place at L’Amo Bistro del Mare in the Dubai Harbour Yacht Club on Thursday, 17 November, guests witnessed a beautiful display of Berluti’s SS23 collection. The preview showcased key looks from the collection, complete with the launch of a first of its kind golf capsule collection by Berluti. The scenic background of the blue skyline, glistering water and sun rays complemented the reveal of an imaginative colour palette to introduce new patina shades of Olive, the warm Terra di Sienna, and Aveiro – an aquatic blue blended with a hint of grey.

Berluti’s spring/summer 2023 collection brings together a cosmopolitan mix of linen suits, double-faced cashmere blazers, tailored pants, straight Harrington-style bomber jackets, flying jackets and long sleeveless gilets. All the Berluti hallmarks are there – from the patinated finish and subtle use of the Scritto pattern under the pocket flaps, to the Un Jour zipper pulls and tab. The Scritto pattern is a perfect example of how the Maison’s symbols are reinterpreted. Initially hand-calligraphed onto shoes and leather goods, it now features on a bomber jacket and a hooded jacket in nubuck leather. Woven or printed variations of Scritto appear on windcheaters, Safari jackets and knit polo shirts, while it is also embroidered on shirts.

As part of the larger brand experience, Berluti partnered with renowned F1 team, BWT Alpine to host an intimate afternoon for ambassadors and friends of the brand on 18 November at the prestigious 2022 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Launched earlier this year, the partnership saw Berluti dress the race drivers for select events, as seen on French motorsport driver Esteban Ocon during the brand’s visit to the UAE. The partnership also saw the regional reveal of a handcrafted made-to-measure blue patina Venezia leather case to hold the team’s steering wheels. The experience included a visit to the Alpine Villa, followed by a behind-the-scenes with Esteban Ocon and a karting adventure. The brand welcomed global and regional ambassadors, Ahmed Elsayed, Abdulla Al Abdulla, Mohammed and Humaid Hadban, and Dan Clément to come together in celebration of this iconic moment.
